Reaction Rate Investigation cookingI am trying to work break through the rate of reaction between marble chips(calcium carbonate) and Hydrochloric acid. This leave be my plan of howto carry out my investigation.There be many factors, which I could change in this experiment. Theseare1) Concentration. An increase in assiduity means on that point are to a greater extent particles. More particles means there exit be more collisions.2) climb up Area. Breaking the solid into smaller pieces will increase the surface compass exposed to the other reactant.3) Temperature. Increasing the temperature will ca wasting disease the particles to egg on faster. When particles move faster, more collisions occur and the collisions are more violent. This should increase the reaction rate. both of these factors will affect the reaction rate, but I charter determinedto change the concentration of Hydrochloric acid. This will determinethe rate of reaction by measuring the amount of nos e candy Dioxide givenoff.As I will only change one factor, I will have to stay on other factorsconstant. These will be -1) The temperature2) The size of the marble chip3) The alike(p) apparatus will be used throughout the experimentI predict that as the concentration of hydrochloric acid increases andit becomes more concentrated, the more Carbon Dioxide will be givenoff. As the concentration increases the chip will fizz more violently.When the concentration has been doubled, the reaction will havedoubled.The reaction rate can be increased if the concentration of thereactant is raised. As there are more particles to react with in ahigher concentration of acid, the chance of an effective collisiongoes up. I have performed similar experiments and have acquired thisequationCalcium + Hydrochloric Calcium + Carbon + Water===============================================Carbonate pungent Chloride DioxideThe reaction rate is also known as the collision theory. This is whensuccessfully 2 pa rticles collide with each other and give off asuccessful product. This is as shown belowFor my experiment I will use 5 different concentrations ofhydrochloric acid. These are 0.5M 1M 1.5M 2M 2.
